New Moderators Needed

Chameleon Forums is growing and we need a couple new moderators to help ensure the community remains friendly and that site policy is enforced. Current plans that include the expansion or addition of features also contribute to the need for additional moderation. If you're interested or know of another member who you think would be a good moderator please contact me privately. I will read every pm and take notes, but due to time restraints I won't be able to respond to all of them.

It is very important that moderators are friendly and amiable. They should also be well respected within the chameleon community and have the personality that allows them to remain unbiased during conflict. I prefer moderators that don't have a large commercial interest in the hobby. Experience with chameleons and being competent in their husbandry is important, but by no means does a moderator need to be an expert.

The ideal candidate currently visits the site almost daily and considers chameleon keeping a long term hobby. Moderators are not expected to spend more time on the site than they already do, but will be expected to deal with issues when they encounter them. I'll reply to this thread when a decision has been made, which most likely won't occur until early Summer.

I've been honored by all the wonderful people who have offered to help moderate the forums. In a couple weeks we will stop accepting offers and begin working on narrowing the list down to just a couple people. If you're interested and have not already done so, please send me an email or private message sometime before June 14th.
