hi, My first post nice site had a quik look around .
I have a few questions about caring for vieled eggs ?
my vieled has just laid her first batch of eggs( she's 13 months old) put male in on 2nd march(for about 3hours) an she laid her eggs yesterday morning in a sand filled box i put in for her. she is well an eating an drinking (added calcium supplement to drinking water) managed to count about 20+ eggs before she covered them just wondering what is the best action to take now ?
I have set up a home made incubator its a poly box with thermostat fitted should i move them to incubator or leave mum tend to em in viv ? she has been busy tending to sandbox an tryin to drag plants over the box !
any advice greatly received thanks
off for another look around site :)
will post a few pics later...
cheers Chinster...;)

I'm new here as well, but from what I've read from other posts, they tend to leave the eggs in the sand bucket/pit. No need to place them in an incubator. The more experienced people will hopefully chime in later.

Well, I'm a new member two with no chameleon experience... just thought I would welcome you and say that these are great forums with some awesome people... I have got so much help with my new jump into chameleon keeping, and sure you will to with your breeding.

Good luck with the eggs and keep us posted

Welcome to the forums.

I have to say that this research should have been done before breeding.
You will have great success with veiled breeding if it is done correctly.
Do Not turn the eggs in any way when you transfer them, which ever side is up MUST remain up now for the duration (6 to 10 months)

Welcome to the forums! I am rather new here also.
I am sure will will love it here and get all the info you need to be a great cham owner. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome...:)
did do alot of research and site surfing to gain more info, an was happy to use my incubator that i hav set up but a trip to local pet store gave me some doubt as the guy there advised takin half eggs out to incubate an leave other half in viv..
feel guilty about takin eggs out as the mother has spent hours an hours preparing the nesting site an tidyin up after even tried covering her nest with plants !
cheers ...;)
