Sometimes they just like to wander. Every morning my panther wakes up, basks for a little while, and then parades down to check out the lower half of the enclosure. Then he'll eventually climb his way back up and stay up high for the rest of the day. They're curious and like to explore, so it could be him reacting to the additions to his digs.
However, staying low all the time can indicate illness. So I would just keep an eye on him to make sure he is acting otherwise normally

I generally caution feeding wild caught insects, etc, due to the possibility of pesticide use, disease and nuclear fallout.

Alright, i hope its just exploration ... hes been in that same spot for past hour... i tried to see if hed crawl on my hand and i got a hissy lundge... his first adolecent tantrum! Like hey now! Mr.
Just threw in few dubi and superworm in there. So if he eats ill be happy. Still couple crix walking around but sometimes he misses them .. but hes up by middle now thankfully
Could giving him his vitanins a half week early help?? I think i was weak with them last time
