New(ish) to Forum, New to Chameleons

I've been lurking around here since a few weeks before I got my veiled chameleon from a PetSmart in early June. Since then I've made use of all the great resources offered here to (I think) pretty good success.. I've only had a few minor scares and they've usually been related to the temperature in the cage. Every day I feel more confident in my ability to actually care for my girl .

Here are a few pictures of her... I have her in a 36x15x15 all-screen cage with a hand-made drip system and some fake vines and branches, though I'm looking into getting a pothos plant within the next few days.

Starting a few days ago I switched from daily calcium gutloading and bi-weekly D3/Multivitamin/etc. do the Repashy every day cricket duster, so I'm squared away there. I feed her around eight crickets a day, which she dusts off no problem and keeps her from prowling around her cage looking for more... well, usually, anyway .

Just wanted to thank everyone for providing such great information! It has made this process a lot more fun and a lot less stressful, especially with so much confusion and misinformation, even from "experts" that work at reptile-specific stores.

Welcome to the forums. She is adorable! I love female veiledS and have an 8 month old named Sadie. I can't see much of her cage in the picture but she needs lots of live plants and allot of vines and branches to cruise around on. I'm attaching a few blogs for you below so you can keep this little girl healthy and happy. The first is about general care with a special section and link about the female. The other two are about egg laying and the laying bin. Females can and often do lay eggs without a male even being around. So around 5 months old she will need a laying bin in her cage at all times.

I appreciate the links/information! I already watched the great egg laying video, so now I feel much more prepared for that. I'm going on vacation (well, to get married) for a few days this weekend, but plan to get the plant and the egg laying bin after that...
