New humidifier?

So my reptifogger finally crapped out on me, and I'm happy I'll be able to replace it with something bigger and better. I just don't know if there is one that anyone prefers really well. I want to go with one of the human humidifiers with a bigger reservoir, but am unsure if they usually come with a hose or if that's something that is extra. I suppose I might be able to use the one that is on my reptifogger now, but more length would be nice.

You won't find one with a hose, but what you want to look for is a room humidifier that has a round spout that you can fit a pvc pipe fitting into (find some that have spouts that have removable gratings and measure the diameter of the spout opening. Then look for the right size pvc pipe or a piece of flexible pool tubing). Then you can add your own tubing/pipe of the right size/length to fit your cage situation.

Sweet, I've been looking at a bunch on ebay and there are some prety cool designs. Does a warm mist matter? I saw a post the other day about it, and it seemed like room temp was the consensus. The vicks say that they're anti-bacterial does anybody know about that? Not sure if you'd be able to retrofit an PVC into the way the outlet for the mist is designed. Haven't seen it in person yet though.

Warm mist means the water in the reservoir will be heated to boiling to create steam. This can be a hazard for your cham and your plants! An ultrasonic type will create fog, not steam. The fog is cooler than warm room temp, but not enough to be a problem. I've used them for years without temp problems. It may be described as antibacterial because the boiling water will kill bacteria. Go to local pharmacies or big drugstores to see some in person. This way you can test the spouts before buying one.
