Looking for advice

I have my 8month old veiled in the vive+ small enclosure but currently making my own to the specs of the vive+ medium size

My question is best heating/lighting currently he has 2 uv tubes which providethe right heat without a basking light which i did intially try but was to warm. Should i stick with the same system? My only issue with basking light is with it being to warm I'd need to lower his perches ie cutting off climbing space for him.

You can raise the light, use a lower watt light or install a dimmer switch. I'm not sure what you mean with +small, +medium vive. What kind of UV light do you have. A single linear uvb bulb will do. 6% for most enclosures and 10% if behind a screen and heavy foliage.

I've put wattage low as it'll go (40watt) but never thought on a dimmer.
