New guy here with some questions

I really don't know, the wife wants a veiled but I want a Panther. But with all things, if the wife ain't happy, no-one in the house is. So probably gonna end up with a veiled.

Is it possible to breed our food for Chams? It seems stupid to just keep buying and buying crickets. If it is, should I start now so I have a good stock of them when the cham gets here?

many people do it! just remember it takes time for crickets to mature and grow bigger so depending on what size crix ur cham will need you may need some time. Itried doing this and just found it easier to pay $9 at my local reptile show for 500 crix every month, withthe surplus count i get like 1000, and eatch box lasts about 1-2 months so i always have some to spare and its way cheaper than petsmart!

I should of just said calcium as that is what he is getting for everyday dusting

In regards to the reptibreeze and DIY cages, I just got my first diy and I must say that the quality is worth the extra money, I do like it alot more than my reptibreeze :D

ok, definatly making my cage. No one has said anything good about them and I'll just build a 2'x3'x4' and save the money for other important stuff. Like beer for the build!!! LOL

Sure, it's possible and very practical. I've never had luck breeding crickets but superworms yes. There are several very detailed sites out there if you google "cricket breeding" or such, it's a lot of instructions for me to type out right now but it should be easy enough to find.

Roaches (like dubia) may not be popular with your wife but they breed effortlessly and are much healthier than crickets. You can start out with 20 adults and in no time you'll have lots more.
