New Female -Gravid or not?

Just picked up a beautiful female Ambilobe from the NY reptile show.
I was so overwhelemed with her and her price that I did not ask many questions.
The gentleman that sold her to me did not have many answers anyway,
I am not sure if she is Gravid, I think she is a little over a year old.
I placed her in my males cage while I put together a cage for her.
I will post new pics tonight.

She is DEFIANTLY displaying NON-receptive coloration. You will need to setup an egg laying area for her sooner than later, but she is without a doubt non receptive to that male. It is hard to say if it is just her reaction to him (if she is just not receptive to that paticular male), but she IS showing graivid coloration.

Receptive coloration is more of a soft pink and light rose colors without those dark patterns.

I would hold off on breeding her until she lays - she may or may not have a fertile clutch, but again like Dank stated, make sure she is kept in her own cage for awhile.

Here's her New Cage, I built this in 4 hours once I got her home.
When I'm done writing this post I will head over to the post that asks
"What are the mistakes you've made" so I can add this weekend..

Anyway; update,
New Female appears ok in her new habitat, However, I'm posting a pic of the very first poop, I didnt like the way it looked, I still have about a week or so to get to a vet so I'm hoping for some feedback.
She's eating 5-10 lg gutloadd cricks, Did not eat any meal worms,
Urate looks ok, I've been spraying her cage constantly since she arrived,
She gets to her dripper and is drinking.
Don't know if she is WC or not (yeah, shame on me)
OK my bad, Now I have her now I will have to make sure she is good.

Holy bejesus that does not look good. Did you break that up or is that how it came out? The picture looks kinda blurry, but that poop looks LOADED with parasitic worms to me.

This is how I found it, Its all like a partially digested insect(s).
Her basking branch is directly above it, So it just plopped right there.
Did'nt see anything that looked like a worm (at least not with the naked eye).

Even just the site of a male could and does start the egg producing process. Not a good Idea unless your looking for a infertile clutch.
As far as the poop goes it does look a little loose .The best thing to do is a vet check to play it safe. In the mean time keep her warm and well hydrated good luck with you new dame.

Agreed, a vet visit would be a real good idea now. I don't think anyone has mentioned it before, but she appears to have an infection in the front of her mouth? That's something that will definitely need to be treated ASAP before it gets any worse in addition to a couple rounds of parasite treatments. Panthers are tough, she should respond well to the treatment, but it needs to start sooner than later for best results.

Just made an appointment for Friday eve 4-25.
Anybody ever get a baytril treatment for there cham? If so, how much was the tab at the vet when it was all done?
Just trying to get myself ready..
thx

It looks like you probably bought a WC female. Did the seller tell you what locale it was? The front of her mouth is messed up as well. Looks to be cyst or swollen. You definitely should have a fecal done and see what type of parasite load you're dealing with. I would for sure quarantine her from your male. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions!

Thank Mike, Really appreciate it,
Yes, Seller said she is Ambilobe,
Seller also said she has nose-rub which is why he made the deal with me.
When I first put her in her cage she went directly to the top and rubbed a bit,
Once I sprayed her with warm H2o she went back to the branchs,
She hasn't been up top much now.

Female panther update

Got all the info I can get from the vendor,
She is WC, Came in on a shipment the 2nd week of Jan08
She is about 14 months old
Meds given to her by vendor = Panicure/Flagyl
No stool today, will see tomorrow
Vet appointment Friday 25

Poop looks better this morning, "Somewhat relieved".
She was asleep when I got home yesterday 6pm-ish
So I just Sprayed her and the cage with warm water (Whatched her drink off the leaves,(I also have a dripper at 1 drop a second
and this morning I gave her 6 mealworms and 1 cricket (w/rep-cal d3)
in a cup and just before I left to work I saw her setting herself up
over the cup, Hopefully the cup will be empty when I get home.
I will still take her to the Vet tomorrow because I really need
to make sure she doesn't have anything that will affect male Benjii
who will be 5 months old tomorrow.
