New enclosure

Hi,
our 5 months old veiled moved into his new enlosure yesterday. He is our first veiled and we're still learning, so suggestions would be greatly appreciated. He has five real plants, three horizontal rows of fake vines, two horizontal sticks as well as two vertical branches to climb on. A Repti Sun 5.0 is towards the back of the enclosure, and the basking spot is in the front left corner.

It's a 24x24x12. I was afraid to move him from his baby cage to the adult cage right away and thought this size enclosure would be a good step towards the big one.

Good lookin cage! He should be happy in there for a couple of months. I'm not familiar with all of those plants, I just don't know plants, but hope they all cam off the safe plant list.

The cage looks great! My 4 month veiled is in a 36"x24"x18", he's cup feeding now but before he had no problem finding his food. The crickets liked to stay in the upper corners so that made it easier for him. I think your guy might outgrow this cage faster than you think. I know mine likes to explore at least once a day. Also that pothos will grow faster if hanging but I could see how that could be tricky with that cage.

Thank you! Yes, all the plants are considered safe. I have ficus, schefflera, dracaena and pothos in there. The plants were washed several times in warm water with antibacterial Dawn, rinsed, rinsed, rinsed before being repotted in a sifted mix of organic peat moss and top soil. The floral vines are fake. They were washed in Dawn as well.

Looks great! be sure the leaves inside all that foliage dry out before his lights go out at night!

I will pay extra attention to that tonight. There is a two hour time span between the last misting and when the lights go out. I always dry out the trays underneath the plants after the last misting of the day to avoid bacteria etc.

I believe he will outgrow this enclosure rather quickly, but that's okay. It's a lot of fun to set up these cages with new plants, vines and stuff.
Hopefully I'll be able to hang the pothos when Tristan moves to his adult enclosure. I plan on hanging it from the ceiling and simply thread the wire through the mesh.
