We are new to the game and had our lickle guy for around two months now.
He was getting very big and so now we have moved him into a larger cage.
Everything is the same apart from it is bigger.

He now sits at the top of the cage under his UV light, very dark....black some times with the white patches on him.
He is eating and drinking just as normal and when he does eat then he comes down to half way into the cage and is his normal happy colors. He has chosen a new sleeping place the last few nights and he snuggles down, his happy normal bright colors.

We aren't sure if he is sulking about the new size of the cage he is in or just sunning himself.....he is pottying just normal and looks great. As I said, nothing has changed other than his dark color while sitting at the top.

Has anyone else had this when they made a move into a larger cage?

We have only had the UV light for the two months we have had him, could it be the uv bulb isn't putting out what he needs?

all chameleons darken to catch more heat from the light..and a lil stress from a changing environment will affect them too..sounds like he's doing just fine..
