New digs

Tell ya what.. Getting these guys homes set up isn't a cheap proposition. I have zero regrets though. Now I have to figure out plant lighting options. Lol
it is a bottomless pit of money... I have spent more on their set ups then I ever could have imagined. And every time I thought I had it all then I would find something else I felt that I had to have for them. I literally have 3 boxes of stuff shoved under my bed of extra stuff that I thought I needed but bought the wrong stuff and had to replace it.

I'm trying to find exactly what I need
I am not sure what size bar they recommend for the enclosure size.. Might have to check the arcadia site for that. or post a thread. Josh's frogs has them though... @ERKleRose do you know what the recommended size is to enclosure with the jungle dawn?

And Try to use the code ReptilianGarden on checkout. It used to give a discount not sure if it still does.

They also make a 36” one. I’ve never used them before, but if I do, I’d probably put them to go across the distance of the top of the cage horizontally or diagonally, parallel with the UVB. I am not the best person for plant lighting though. @Madmango and @Thesolecontender both work with plants and can most definitely help more, along with tons of others members here! Another option would be Sansi lights, too. @aleagueofherown is actually selling a 36” Arcadia Jungle Dawn right now on here, as well!

@Bschucher let me know if you're interested in purchasing the light I have available. Here's the link. I could definitely do less than 90 as I've gotten no bites on it so far, though I'm unsure what shipping will cost.

I can recommend the the Sansi you can get them on Amazon. They have a great LED full spectrum bulb that fits into a regular socket. I use them for growing anthurium and philodendron as well with my cham cage. Run them just like the uvb light 12hr on 12hr off.

So I bought the Arcadia light but while I wait for it I bought the sansi bulb someone recommended. He seems freaked out now since putting light on. He's all over his cage. There's no harm that can come from daylighting the cage for his plants is there?

Lighting changes can throw them off... You may need to raise the sansi off the top so it is not as intense. He will get used to it. It will not hurt him.

I think I'll just wait for the Arcadia to get here so he's only adjusting once. As always, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for your input.
Your welcome.... You will find that even things like opening all the curtains on a sunny day can throw them off... Going outside than inside to different lighting can as well. Just watch his reactions. He will adjust though, some it takes a few days some it does not effect them at all IME.

Wow I have a jungle dawn and have seen pretty good results my dwarf umbrella (which with
my other smaller plants as they where only young when I bought them placed up reasonably high then moved down with growth the umbrella has grown 6 inches since December. The amount of light it gives off woo took me a couple of weeks to get used let alone a cham lol 😆 my only regret is my uv is 34 inches and I bought a 22.5 jd wish I'd bought the longer one . You can daisy chain your lights but I have all 3 on different timers (uv basking jd ) to try and replicate light and heat up and down daily

I really hope in this day and age of so much info readily available, if people figure out anything at all, it's how expensive a proper setup is for these guys. I have clearly needed plenty of assistance on here and am grateful the money isn't an issue for me. For others, it likely ends with disastrous results for the animal they get. The chams themselves aren't "cheap" but their cost pales in comparison to correct husbandry.
