My family is about a week out from a baby nosy be ariving and we had a few questions:
How do chameleons react to crying babies?
If the chameleon is in the family room and his lights turn off at night but the family is still watching tv, will this mess with the chsmeleon?
Thanks in advance!:)

Welcome to the forum!

Nope, chameleons have no external ears so while they do hear low-frequency sounds/vibrations they probably don't hear the high-pitched cries of a child very well. So you'll probably be OK in that regard.

And you can always throw a towel or blanket on the cage so that he gets total or close-to total darkness but your family can still watch TV for a while.

Hi
A crying baby shouldn't cause too much stress the chameleon maybe a bit edgy at first but should get used to it
And no it shouldn't mess with him, I keep my chameleon in my bed room and when I turn his lights off i sometimes forget to turn the bedroom lights off but when I go to turn then off he's fast asleep, but maybe give him a hiding space where he can't see the TV just in case :)

Thank you so much for the replys, we are really starting to realize that he is going to be the perfect addition to our family, cant wait for Rodney to get here!:)
