I bought a 4.5 month old male Nosy Be Panther Chameleon yesterday and what concerns me is he hasnt stopped being black because of stress. I wont even be in the room and he will still be very dark the only time he wasnt was when he was sleeping.
I havnt been able to get him to eat yet either which i think is normal because he was just moved into a new cage.
Basking temp 82
ambient 75
humidity 55

Welcome to the forums. This is a great place to learn about chameleons. I have a Nosy Be. I've had him for a long time. He's 5 1/2 years old. It also took him awhile to adjust when he first came to us. Give him some time and try not to mess with him until he has some time to adjust. Some chameleons require more time than others. I think it has allot to do with where they came from and how they were interacted with or if they were interacted with at the breeders. Sometimes they are to shy to eat when you are looking and often it takes a day or two for them to eat in their new home. Just make sure he has the appropriate size feeders that are well gut loaded. Also don't leave uneaten crickets in his cage overnight or they could eat on him. I'm attaching my blog for new keepers. It's how I have been successful raising panthers and veileds over the years. Looking forward to watching your little man grow up through pictures here on the forums. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blo...-keepers-young-veiled-panther-chameleons.html
