Welcome to the forum!
It's always good to see a new or future cham owner doing research.
The resources section of this forum is a hidden gem--there's so much valuable info there.
It can be found by clicking the green Resources tab above or this link

A few things you might want to know in advance of buying one:
Captive bred chams are very often much healthier than wild caught, so they typically are sold for more money.
Although everyone likes a baby, it isn't necessarily a good choice, especially for someone new to chams.
Jackson's chams, for example, are known to mysteriously and suddenly drop dead before the age of 6 months.
You can post clear close-up pictures of your new cham to the forum.
It is extremely important to be sure the vet really knows how to treat chameleons.
Vets who don't can actually harm chams.
If can be very stressful for a cham to have a vet visit but it may be worthwhile for your peace of mind.
