New Camouflage Method?

Sorry for another thread, I know some of you are probably tired of me already.

My (juvenile male) veiled chameleon has this odd habit of deflating himself when (I assume) he wants to blend in more with his environment. Before you look at the pictures: yes, he is a normal size when he’s not “deflated”. However, he does have MBD.

Anyway, I’ve been unsuccessful in finding similar things to this via the internet (or this page itself). Is this something I should be worried about?

Hello! I just skimmed your other posts. I was going to ask if he had MBD. My guy had it when I first got him too. Get that seen ASAP

The ‘deflating’ is normal. He’s hiding. He’s trying to look like a stick. No need to freak out.
