Bodhi likes to play with his feeder cup. After he eats all of his crickets, he will purposefully knock it over. He then proceeds to climb on top of it, roll, climb, roll, and continue. He thinks it's a fun game.. I on the other hand, have a heart attack. I swear he is going to break every bone on his body doing this. It is cute though.

Not to burst your bubble, but take the bedding out.. It can do more harm than its worth. Your cham can ingest it and it can cause impaction

I know the drill. That's why I'm cup feeding. He never goes down there unless to eat his crix out of his cup. He will be in a big boy cage soon anyways.

Chams have great personalities. Mine goes to the bottom of his cage to poop!! I have to agree with VeiledChams though. Especially those little pebbles. I just read a couple days ago about a guy whose cham was not doing well, died in the vets office and they found out she had swallowed a stone.

You may "know" the drill but cannot control what your chameleon does. So as i said, its in the chameleons best interest for you to take it out and not be stubborn as some people are. When it comes to proper chameleon care, or any other pet for that matter, what is best for them outweighs anything that you (owner) wants.
I am just telling you what is in your chameleons best interest, but you do what you want.

There aren't any pebbles in his cage. You might be seeing some water from where his cage was just misted. Trust me, I really care about my little man. I have spent all of my time making sure he is happy and healthy. I always have a close eye on him. He doesn't mind the cup feeding and it's good because he will need to once he gets in his big cage. The only reason that substrate is in there is to secure his vines from the bottom. I'm not a fan of substrate either and if I ever saw him ingest the tiniest bit of it I would have it out of there in a heartbeat. Other than him going down there and deciding to munch on it for fun, there is no way he could ingest it. I plan on getting some Crested Geckos to put in his current house in a couple of months.

Whatever. You don't have to be a smart ass and talk down to me like I know absolutely nothing. I know you are trying to help but I'm not a 10 year old kid thats never owned a reptile before. I'm just trying to post some pics of my little man. I know about substrate, I know about its dangers. I was very hesitant about it but I found ways for it not to put him in danger. It has a purpose.. it is not in there to be "decorative" or anything like that. I don't want to have to defend and explain myself when I want to post a picture. Thank you for your concern but I have it covered.

Love to hear about chams "playin" with their "furniture"....lol
Ive used coconut fiber/soil mix in my chams enclosures with no problem....great for keeping humidity high when needed.

Just make sure u have good air flow with terrariums and you'll do ok.

Thanks for the back up! I would see it being a pretty big issue if someone were to let the crickets roam the cage. I feel more comfortable with his light fixtures toward the back of his terrarium so the air can easily come in and go out with the heat. It is really precious when he thinks no one is watching. Once he notices me.. well he has to be cool again. He thinks he is so tough.
