New Batch of Silkworms

I have 2 containers set up according to the instructions from Pigglett79 with some silkworms of different sizes. I just got a new batch from Coastal. My question is can I put them in the one container that has similar sized worms or is that too much of a risk based on the lack of immunity in these worms?

I don't mix batch's but that's just me. It's to easy for a wipe out.

Others probably do it with no problems.

That's what I was thinking, just based on my nursing experience! Even though both seem to be OK it seemed like too much of a risk for possible cross contamination.

I keep them seperate by size mostly because the small ones need to be placed right ON their food! they will not crawl around to look for it, like the larger ones.
Also, if you do suspect contamination of any of them, remove them from the rest.
If I even handle one with my bare hands (I usually ware latex exam. gloves), I either feed it off right away, or put in in a little cup by it's self for fear of wipping out my whole batch  (which I have done, stupidly, more then once  )
