Well I'm new to the whole chameleon ownership, but I have loved them for my whole life. I recently acquired 2 baby veiled chams, m/f Mickey and Mallory. These guys were only 3 weeks old when I got them, and I lost Mickey last week. Mallory is still chugging along. My rep breeder is moving to a new location so he's selling off fixtures and stock and offered me a breeding pair of Oorana Mena's for an insanely good price (with 2 mesh enclosures and light). Brought my new scaly babies home last night. Female is gravid!! My breeder is going to help us with the eggs and hatching etc, and we are going to give him the first clutch to sell. After that, we will probably breed her a couple more times, splitting the proceeds. He is 2-3 years old, shes about the same he figures. I'm trying to come up with some names now for the new kids
I'll post pics soon, hes a GORGEOUS all over blue with red spots, shes a beige with cool white markings. Apparently she has a bit of an aim problem and likes being hand fed crickets lol. Shes also a HUGE suck and loved being held.
Can't wait to see what pretty offspring they produce!! We are also going to get another male veiled for Mallory when the new clutch is ready. Hopefully we will have a nice set of breeding chams!
Wish us luck!!
