I use a stick or food to get my male out, my female is scared to death of me and I feel like I would be making her life horrible. My male would wound me if I tried to handle him wihout food everyday. His toe nails hurt enough, I wouldn't want him on me everyday anyways.
If you're lucky you may find one that likes coming out voluntarily. Otherwise, handling once a week is all that is needed. If it won't come out by itself that once a week then use a stick. Some chams just won't tolerate it at all even if you did force them to be handled everyday against their will. Just don't push it and check them once a week for health and grip. They are pretty much moving art, no need to spoil a beautiful painting with dirty fingerprints, right?
