hello everyone. I am new to this and have been looking and reading and watching a ton of utube videos. Well after a couple weeks I decided to buy a vale chameleon. Found one locally. Luckily. Called them and the lady said they had 1. I asked her about cages. She said she would sell me the whole setup. I told her to please hold it for me as it would take me only 15 mins to get there. In he car we go to town. Got there and it's a little home town pet store. The lady behind the counter was nice and I told her who I was. Then one of the helpers showed me my new pet. Omg I fell in love. And knew its name. I hope it's a boy because I would hate to name a girl. Steven. With a ph so I guess it's pheven lol my wife really laughed out loud when I told her it's name lol. Well to say the least I got the minimum you need for a chameleon. It's sad to think he would have had to stay there more then a day. Only a heat lamp. One limb way down from the light and plastic vines 2 in total. I almost didn't buy the cage as it would have almost been cheaper to go to pet smart but them being a small local store I did. Good thing I hope is. They just got him in today. And he didn't have to stay long. I then got him and the cage loaded up in the chevy spark. By the way is to small for a cage lol. Off we go home. I got home and unloaded him in his forever home. Then off to Home Depot to find a live plant. And some bambo stocks. Back I place the 2pots in and a few cross sticks and mist it good He got a happy look in his eyes. And started to move around. I still need a uva/uvb light and will be getting one soon. He is small Maybe his body is like 3to 4 inches. When I can I will get a good pic to share but for now I will let him roam around and I will peek from outside. Hope to meet a few friends and get some advice once and a while from y'all Thanks for reading my trash David
