Hes in his cage right now. just got home. how long should i wait to hold him? I want to make him as friendly as possible. i hand fed him a cricket already and he drank right from the nozzle!! But any suggestions for a friendly cham??

Congratz! I just got one today as well!

You should wait around a week to let him settle in his new home. For a friendly cham, you can try to keep hand feeding him. It also depends a lot on personality, so its not guaranteed he's going to be nice.

Well some others on here who have "tame" chameleons take them out in the sun, and hand feed them when they're hungry. Thats a good way to start.

Give him at least a week to settle in. And never force him out of his cage, always let him come to you or get him up on a stick first. You reaching in to grab him is a lot scarier than it seems.
