A little bit of stress colors, you just got him, the other thing young Panthers do not come into their colors till later in life. So for now you can expect the browns, dark greys, whites, and light greys till he matures. My last Panther Male started showing some pretty amazing colors at 5 months, But not the colors he finally came into as an adult.
He does look kind of scared though. Maybe hang a linen on three sides of the cage and let him get used to feeling secure and used to his new environment! also the linens can be misted and kept wet for extra humidity. Slowly remove a side once in a while. Im not gonna say this about the guy you purchased from but some breeders keep small new Chams in non visual settings. So when you get them they are abit afraid of the real world at first.
