New ambilobe first time out

Well, it was 3 weeks in and I decided to clean out the cage for the first time. Had to put him on the bed for a little while I maneuvered the trees out through all the vines I had set up.

He managed to eat a fruit fly as well as a clump of dirt along with it, eat a house fly that harmlessly landed on the balcony railing, and get onto the balcony railings for a second before I terrifyingly grabbed him off. What a guy..

wierd thing is he got the brightest just hanging out and exploring the bed lol. I guess the simple things please him??

Absolutely gorgeous. Give him at least 15 to 20 minutes a day natural sunlight if you can. Also be careful with the dusting of feeders for him. Feed your crickets etc,., really well and minimize the dusting.

That drop would scare the hell out of me. I'm surprised he hasn't been tempted to make a run for it.

i hope he enjoys it as it was his first time out really. other than being taken out to look at quick at his cage in my hand. No the drop doesnt scare me, and he did grab onto the bars and held on... definately won't be letting the tree that close to get sun anymore.

its hard to get him out, the balcony only gets sun in the morning untill about 10am. having no outdoor tree for him also makes it difficult, however i did see a large hibiscus tree on sale for $35. gotta love fall sales!

I hope you are watching him EVERY second on the balcony. OMG! I would be a nervous wreck that he might make a quick move and fall. How many stories up are you anyways?

Wow what vertigo! haha I'm glad my balconies are completely screened in!

He looks wonderful, you can tell he's enjoying the view!

great looking boy, but never let him on that balcony!!! please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! even if you a foot away, they can jump!!!

lol, that jacksons is extreme... im sure hes a real handful to watch. the only reason he was so close was because the sun had already rose and thats the only place I could put him in the sun. After he grabbed onto the bar I told him hes had enough and took him inside lol.

I'm planning on buying a 5' hibiscus today so well see how it goes with him free ranging in that
