Neville ate locust shedding!

Hi guys! Been a while again, hope you’re all well. Neville is almost 9 months now, can’t believe it!
Anyhow, he hasn’t eaten in 6 days but is still drinking water. (I followed forum advice about not panicking unless it exceeds a week and he has no other symptoms). I woke up this morning to see a locust I left there in the hopes he may try eat it, had shed. Before getting a chance to remove the shedding, Neville snatched it away just as my hand got near it ? he has not attempted to eat the actual locust but I feel some relief he is TRYING to eat something. Hopefully he’ll eat it today. But anyway, there shouldn’t be a problem with him eating a single shedding right? It’s not like he ate a whole dead locust or anything.
Thank you
(Also a picture of my big boy Neville. Also, yes breeder sold him as a “Nosy Be” but he is definitely a Blue Ambilobe !)

My guess is that he may have thought it was a locust, especially if he's come to associate your hand with food nearby.

No nutritional value; the shed is all cellulose or chiten... whatever, but I can't see any harm either as long as what goes in still comes out.

Feeding response is good. Got anything else you could stick in there for him to munch on?
Just asking. :)
