Well, in an attempt to get my little baby faly to fire up a bit I took him and showed him to big red. usually big red doesn't care, i tried this with the last baby I had and he just looked kinda like "so what". I guess this guy just triggered a reaction, and ive NEVER seen big red fire up like this.

The photos I have online are "edited" with instagram, but you can see the colours for sure. Even the camera couldn't do justice to the colours he was showing! I've never seen him turn so yellow.

After words, he was bobbing his head a bit. is that a territorial thing or did he think my baby was a female?

normally a head bob is a mating gesture..only seen a few males head bob eachother before confrontation, most do a whole body froward and back movement with tail uncoiling then tail coiling back real fast for male fights..

maybe he was confused??:D

yeah, my gf does it on her phone... no idea how. I have a photobucket app on my iphone and upload that way

The dark radiating lines on his face and eyes is typical of mating mode coloration. You wont usually see that if he fires up for territorial reasons. Really nice looking ambilobe!
