Neonate Question Please Help?

Ok, so I have a tiny little guy. I thought 1/4" crickets would be fine for him, but I think they are a little too big as he doesn't seem too interested. I went out today and got fruit flies and he loves them! This is great as I was worried he just wasn't eating. I found his poison!

Anyway, my question is, is it ok to leave a little bit of a banana peel in my panther's cage to attract the flies to? This way he could easily get to them to feed. I just want to make sure banana peel won't hurt him. Thanks a ton all.

Tray an apple or grape or even strawberries. I'm not sure if they (chameleons) can eat bananas. Also buy some pinhead crickets.

You really are a rockstar Pssh! I'm getting some pin heads, too! Sucks because I already ordered 1000 1/4" ers. Oh well. So, apple is ok? I'll put a little bit of apple in there.

Never hurt any of mine when I would use a small slice of banana peel to try and keep the FFs in.

I would get it the right size crix soon though. You want to be feeding it well gut loaded feeders which you cant really do with FFs as well. Spirulina powder is good to bump the nutrition of a bug that isnt as voracious of an eater as others also.

I've never seen pi heads at petco or petsmart. However I don't really go there anymore.

cool. Thank you. I'll go see if they do. I got fruit flies from petco today. Didn't think they'd have them so I'll cross my fingers for the pinheads.
