5 weeks since I got Nelson and I already added another one Ben. I am definitely hooked. Wish I would of done this years ago. I was scared people made it sound very delicate which it is but I thought I couldn't do it. I am a damn good chameleon mommy I think. I sometimes think about breeding them. But then again I did that with my birds for years and it was a headache. I rather just enjoy them and the colors and personalities they have. My Nelson is grouchy, tempermental and only comes out on his terms. He is ready to upgrade to a bigger cage. He LOVES hornworms waxworms the occassionaly millworm. I just gave him his last today. It seems he isn't digesting them so I am cutting thoses out. I am going to start silks soon. Also still trying to get the nerve for the dubias.

Bitten by the cham bug - yup- you are hooked now! Glad to hear that Ben & Nelson are doing good - and raising silks too - good for you. Don't be scurred of them Dubia - they aren't half as bad as you think!!

Not raising them yet

But will be soon..... I think I can handle them better. At least I can touch them. LOL I bought some hornworms at the Show boy those get big poor Ben only got one then they got way too big for him..... Now they are almost too big for Nelson....

Congratulations on your new boy. Is that Nelson or Ben pictured? If you keep your hornworms cooler and sometimes even take away their food (like everyother day) they will grow slower. I keep mine in the wine cooler.
