At this time Nel is not for sell nor will she be going to a pet store. Aparently thursday when i took ecko out of her tree when she was making a fuss ( i didnt put him there) he was there maybe 3 mins tops, they did breed she is sporting full blown gravid colortion and has goten a great deal larger. i'm glad we picked up a hova bater this weekend looks like im going to need it. im sure she is at the laest a year and a half so there shouldnt be any complications. i have removed her from her free range to the large cage with her laying bin. i took ecko off of her but i could see no evidence of a mating as she was running away and biting at him. when i hand fed her just minutes prior she was not showing receptive coloration otherwise i would have never put ecko in a tree on the other side of the room. all my veilds spend a day or two in a free range and this is the first time 2 have ended up in the same tree as nel is a free range cham. how ever she may be retaining from a prior breeding concidering she showed half gravid half non receptive and alot of normal coloration when she first came into my care. i have set up the hova bater at a steady 83 with nothing in it i also have a digital in it that shows temp and humidity. im guessting when i put the eggs in it will drop to 80. what are the best incubation times i have read several threads but everyone has their own opinion based on how fast they want them to hatch and how soon. also does the humidity % make a difference?

You want a temp of about 74 and you can slowly raise it to 78 by the end of 6 months. At 80 they hatch after 6 or so months, but I believe it is best to let the eggs develop longer so there are less chances of health/bone problems when they get older.

So i had to take nels laying bin out she was trying to eat the dirt. if this continues what is the other option? her urates are off white but white she eates 3-6 crix every day depending on the size dusted with calcium every day herpvite 2 times amonth and d3 every other weekend. as well as a variety of veggies.. same with all the chams. THe y also gt 3-6 hours of sun each every week. so whu is she eateing the dirt?

She may be looking for nutrients thats shes not getting. Up her supplements , make sure she gets booth beta carotene and vit.a. You could up the d3 also. Make sure she stays well hydrated. Theres a big difference in care for a gravid female compared to a nongravid, so dont fell like your over doing it. Natural sun is the best so the more the merrier.

thanks alot.... her becoming gravid was a complete accident...

Update on Nel..havent weighed er yet ..just got a scale....3 days ago she went from eateing 5-10 crix to 2 to none but will eat supers....the amount of crix she would eat would always depend on her shes a hand feeder and sometimes she has no intres in the food for a day or so...untill she became gravid..shes had 6 wax worms in the last month weekly treat and they are easy to inject with extra water....a couple times a week i inject either supers or wax worms and large crix with extra water to make sure my chams are geting enough .....12 days into being gravid....is it normal to cut so far back on eateing?????
