Hey all,
does anybody have a TRUSTWORTHY chameleon vet in the OC area that is available today preferably if not first thing tomorrow ? Dr. Greek is who I usually go to but he has been on jury duty for several days now....
I'm pretty sure Clark got an RI somehow and I was planning to just wait for Dr. Greek to come back....but over the past few days it has been getting worse, and today especially he is really bad...
He has EXTREMELY sunken eyes (he has not eaten or drank anything for FOUR days...he drank a TINY bit of water this morning). He has not pooped either.
He has something in his eye that won't come out (I've tried "showering" him, terramycin on several occasions, even rinsing it out directly....nada). Its like a stuck piece of skin/maybe a small growth on his inner eyelid.
Also, there is a clear "watery" liquid that keeps collecting around his eye (not sure if its coming from it, but i think it is).
As of about an hour ago, he wheezed and liquid came out of his nose...so I'm pretty sure its the RI getting much worse...hopefully its nothing else...
At this point he cannot stand up straight anymore and his back legs seem useless ... he grips himself or nothing with them.... even when he's on the sticks he is "hanging" on holding his arms outstretched (and his legs just leaning on the wood not doing much). Simlarly, he can't keep his balance, keeps falling on one side.
As of about 30 minutes ago, I can't put him down anywhere or he will fall (for various reasons, mostly a combination of grabbing himself with his bag feet and weakness). He still won't eat and now he is not opening his good eye either.
He has also been "fired up" for about 3 days straight....so I'm pretty sure he is not happy!
Anyway long story short, I'd like a trusty doctor in the OC area whom I can take Clark to either today or first thing in the morning. I have been told Dr. Greek is out on jury duty until at least Wed!! He has a replacement, whom i will go to in the morning if I don't find anyone else...but I'd really like to find someone trustworthy.

He's a panther, I've had him for 10 months now (since he was a baby), and I have UVB, supplements, etc all going on right...been breeding dubia and mixing crickets occasionally for his food.
