Need to get the heat up

So I have the new tank all set up. The 2 by 2 by 4ft clearside dragonstrand enclosure. I have his basking spot dead on at 85 however the rest of the enclosure is wanting to hover around 69 or 70. I had picked up an undertank heating pad for the old smaller one and had it between the corrugated aatic and screen on one side and it was perfect . It's not doing a thing but helping the humidity cloud rise up a bit from the warmth coming off of it. How should I go about heating his home up? I have a little forced air heater going next to it but that's not a viable solution for when Im not at home. Would a ceramic heating element at the bottom be enough to heat it? A heating rock? WHAT DO I DO? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm scratching my head a bit with this one.

Wait so his cage is 70 and the basking is 85? That's perfect... you want temp gradients. Also allow a night drop as low as 55 or as high as 65. It's a Jackson's correct? Even more reason to have cooler temps.

Yeah, I don't see what the problem is? Those temps sound perfectly fine. Definitely no need for an undertank heater

You nailed it. They need places to go to cool down. If they don't have them then they start going to the bottom and trying to dig their way out.

It's been sitting more at 68 or 69 during the day where the therm sits. I'll show you where it's at in a pic. I also have a therm sensor on a vine where he perches to bask .He spends a lot of time there, leaning to the side and flared out to catch more heat. Which is why I'm trying to get the temps up just a little. I figure since I run cool mist, if my therm says 69 and it's only 8 inches below his basking spot (which is 5 inches from top of cage) then the bottom of his enclosure is in the low 60s daytime. I'm mounting a little analog therm in the bottom today so I can know for sure.

The yellow circle down low is my ambient temperature gauge and the blue and orange circle up top is where I measure basking temp.

I really wouldn't worry about it. If he wants to warm up he'll move. We like to think all reptiles as being warm loving creatures, but they definitely benefit from cooling off. Sometimes they even feel cold to the touch. It's not a problem like it would be with people. I worry more about temps getting too high.
