So i'm at college and my mom has been feeding my veiled chameleon who's about 5 years old, When I went home last weekend I cleaned his cage and there were a bunch of crickets in the bottom of it some were getting really big. I figured he would eat them and be fine, well last night I made a trip home and went to check on him and found a hole on the base of his tale about a centimeter wide and deep, I put some antibacterial ointment on it and let him go to sleep. It looked better today she said. Then tonight I got a call saying there was another small spot and that there was a few crickets on him. I think they have been chewing on him my mom killed them all and i'm hoping that will solve the problem. I'm going to wait a few days before putting anymore crickets in just to make sure he is hungry. Is there anything else I should do?
