Pascal just ate a cricket and looked up at his light like he had a hard time breathing, I'm so tempted to take him to the vet but he is only 3 months old will he be ok?

Small about 3/8 for a 3 month old chameleonHow big was the cricket? Should be no bigger then the space between his eyes.
He was normal before until he ate the cricket I think he might be URIDid you hear him breathing some other time, too or did he just swallow the cricket taking his head up?

He started about three days ago and it seems to get worse he was able to eat with no problem before then today he looked like he was having a hard time. He is puffing up and is making popping noises as wellsince how long does he act like this ? he keeps doing the same ?worse?better?he tries to swallow?

I'm really thinking about taking him but I didn't want him to get overly stressed and cause deathOkay, if he had no symptoms before: A cricket does not cause a respiratory infection suddenly during some seconds. Infections are caused by bacteria or virus and it takes some days to develop dyspnoea due to that. Your chameleon might have e.g. injured his mouth/throat or just had problems to swallow the cricket. If there has been problems for the whole time since feeding the cricket and it's getting obviously worse, you should visit a reptile vet to get your chamelon examined.
Ok then I'm offi'd say that 3 days and getting worse is a big problem.
you should get him to a vet as soon as you can.
i wish you all the best
Ok then I'm off
alright got back from the vet he said he had an oral inflammation gave me some antibiotics, and said to take him outside for some sun for an hour a day. The vet said it was caused by not enough vit a. I was surprised at how well Pascal did he didn't get to stressed and weighed in at 3 grams. The vet said he was the best looking cham he has seen out here, most that he sees are hanging on for life he said mine was healthy thank for your help guys!
I know I was stressing at first but its figured out and i will have to buy some calcium without d3 if im taking him out for sunshine (was going to buy some anyways). but im just glad he is okso glad he is going to be ok ! nice job takeing him so fast to the vet !
