Need more Humidity

I have a small 3/4 mesh enclosure and the air is dry here. I Have a Pothos plant, napkins on the bottom and after wetting everything down I can get it to almost 50%. I'm thinking of getting a humidifier for the room but not sure if that will help a whole lot. Any easy ways to jack the Humidity up a lot more?

What species? 50% can be ok for some. Make sure the cage is not close to any ac vents. Cool mist humidifiers work as well. How often do you mist?

Mist 3-4 times a day. Its for a Sambava. I thought it had to be much higher than that.
Howdy,

Even though individual needs can vary panther-to-panther, Ferguson's panther book lists 40%-50% as an acceptable level with the benefits of reduced bacteria problems. At this humidity level, it is important to insure that the chameleon has ample access to water to stay well-hydrated.

I'd recommend a Cool Mist Humidifier. There are ways to route the mist into your cage via pvc or pool hosing with a little modification to the unit itself. Even running the humidifier in a small room will increase your humidity to a suitable level. My little guys/girls are in a 10x8 insulated shed and I run a humidifier in there and it works great! I keep the humidity level at 70-80%.

Ok cool. thats what I thought optimal would be but if its ok 40-50% then I'll live with hat. Just didn't want to come home to dead Chams one of these days

This system is ok IF you keep the pvc and the humidifier unit itself CLEAN at all times as to prevent mold and mildew issues!!

40-50% humidity is in my opinion, bare minimum for the panthers. I'd still recommended to get 70%+ humidity. I never go for bare minimum. I want my chameleons as happy and as comfortable as they possibly can be in captivity.
