ok my cham came in today from flchams it was lil brown but once i put it in it became green again i left for 2hrs and came back in its in the basking area but its brown again?

that is ok. He may stay dark alot being in a new environment. Sometimes when they bask they will turn dark also. Nothing to worry about!

Your fine. This is normal. Also when they are younger they can be more brownish than colorful at times. Just let him get settled in. I gave all mine about 2-4 weeks before I did any interaction. Besides cleaning and feeding of course.

Good luck:)

thank u and thank god hahaah holy cow i was scared... ive wanting a chameleon for some many years i dont want to mess up it right off the bat.also he is hanging from the roof? is that ok i moved the basking light a little more above the cage so it would maybe keep him from getting burned?

Whats your temps in the basking area? Maybe he is trying to get more heat. But I have notcied when they are younger they climb of the roof more than when they get older. Or at least all mine do.

yea lol told my girlfriend see this is just as much work as another kid so lets just have our daughter and a cham lol....didnt think that went over to well.

LOL. Our 7 year old daughter wants a brother or sister. And we tell her we have a zoo. Other kids dont get to grow up in a zoo. Her comment back to that was "we dont have a zoo, because we dont have monkeys". Lol thats NOT happening.;) .
