Need help !!!!

We are making a list as fast as I can. We are going to change ASAP today no matter how long it takes
These are have to get today

So lighting: T5HO fixture with a 5.0 bulb or T8 fixture with a 10.0 bulb... With these basking branch should be for the T5HO with a 5.0 bulb 9 inches below the fixture on the top of the cage. OR with the T8 and a 10.0 bulb branch would be 6 inches below. Must use the bulb strength I gave to each fixture nothing different.

Supplements: Repti calcium WITHOUT D3 at all feeding.
Then you want Reptivite WITH D3 to use 2 times a month on say the 1st and 15th only. THis is calcium with D3 and a multivitamin.

Temp and humidity gauge: Wired probes for each. Temp hooked in at basking branch below heat. humidity hooked in out of the path of water
Temps should be no hotter then 80 at basking. Humidity 30-50% max daytime.

Misting bottle... pressurized misting bottle for reptiles is better.

Feeders... crickets for now and enough to give at least 12-15 a day. Small 2 week old 1/4 inch size.

Food for feeders is called gutloading... see images below.

Plants: Veiled tested only. https://chameleonacademy.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Chameleon-Plants-122819.pdf
1 inch size rocks to cover the top of the soil so that the baby can't eat the soil and so that the rocks are not small enough to ingest.

Nothing on the floor of the cage.

We have a small enclosure currently. Would it be best to change her to a large enclosure and should we have any kind of a dirt patch for her when she needs to lay eggs.
She is way too young to lay eggs, thats something to worry about when she reaches sexual maturity.

See the list I posted above of have to buy today items.... We can go over egg laying with you but she has months before that will happen. It is called a lay bin. Right now we just need to make sure that the bare essentials are met.

Also I would like to see the back of the back foot to ensure you have a female. But that does not need to happen today. :) right now items on the list I gave you are the important things.

Her lighting
These are the wrong ones hun. You need linear lighting... I am sure they have T8 lighting in the store near you. You want the T8 with a 10.0 bulb this is placed directly on the top of the cage overhang on the sides is fine. Then there needs to be 5-6 inches to the basking branch.
If they have a T5 you need a 5.0 bulb and 9 inches to the closest branch.

As soon as you can some uvb is better than none. For some reason the stores push those small ones to use, but they don't provide adequate uvb lighting for the chameleons. Thus why the linear ones are better.

Yea the majority of these "pet" stores don't know jack about the specific requirements for each pet. They just regurgitate the same false info that they get from other false sources. PetSmart and Petco are notorious for this.

That is quite common.

Let me know what you get. Be aware that distance to basking is important based on which fixture and bulb type. You have to get the specific bulb I put with each fixture type. K.

What are your temps at basking level now?

Keep posting and the folks here will get you the best setup for your little one possible. It's a shame but many pet stores give incorrect information about chameleons. They seem to only care about making a sale. It's mind numbing.

Thank you Monday I will be going back to the store for sure
