Need help right away

good idea, nice cage you got there, it looks really good :). I just dont want them jumping out of the top cause they can jump pretty high lol

Might be a better idea to use opaque deli cups for feeding. Many keepers have found clear cups can confuse the chameleon and potentially damage it's tongue if they "shoot" the side by mistake. From personal experience the road back to health for a cham with a hurt "food grabber" is long and worrisome (better safe than sorry)

Just position the cup below a favorite basking spot and all will unfold naturally.

Can i put the cup on the floor of the cage underneath his spot? Usually when i let the crickets run freely in the cage, my cham will grab them off the ground. Will this be any different?

WOW! Your baby must have a long tongue (or a short cage)

My setups are over 4 feet tall so that wouldn't work for me. Also since their pooh often ends up on the ground, you probably don't want that habit encouraged. Do you have any kind of substrate on the floor by the way?

right now he is in a glass tank with paper towel on the floors. It is not that high is why he can grab them from the ground, of course he has to travel down close to the ground. I am moving my cham into a cage screen enclosure cage that i built recently very very soon. Im just figuring out how to cup-feed before i move him. Here is a link to the cage that i built (Chams new home)

oh and of course thats not everything that is in my chams cage lol, i will have the new cage loaded with plants

yeah i am trying to get the most imformation possible because i am a new cham owner and still learning. I had my baby cham for 2 days now and i think its going good for the most part. White on the poop so i know its hydrated :)

I dont know what kind of cham you have Dave but Not everything on the kitty veiled site would apply if its not a veiled.

Are you talking about my cham having a long tongue? There s a vine that runs right next to where the cup is and its on a vine as well that he can sit on. I tried the opaque and he wouldnt go near it. He has never hit the cut, only his mark. I tilt it lightly so that he has easier access to it as well.

And thank you for the compliment on my cage. We are going to build a new one soon. I think this one might have a hole somewhere as I keep finding crickets on top of it..and with the weight of the plant sont he vines, it sstarting to wear ont he PVC piping.. Just gotta wait for the hubby to get some free time, but there is really no such thing in the Army...
