Need help on new Cham!

Hello everyone! Yesterday I picked up a beautiful baby girl veiled named "Luna"! Being a new Cham owner I have a few questions. My temperature in her new home (I'm using an aluminum cage) is sitting around 77-83 degrees Fahrenheit, and her humidity is around 47%-51% I'm a little worried about her humidity.. I bought a dropper, I am spraying her habitat roughly 5 times a day, and I bought a waterfall. Another question I have is, how can I have her light turned off at night while she maintains body temperature? Is there some sort of night lights they have? Her light lit up my whole room when I have the lights turned off! Thanks :)

To get better humidity you can buy a $20 ultrasonic humidifier, I have one they are nice and very quite. Night time lights are bad for chams, it messes with their sleep. Chams have a light sensing scale on top of their head, so any light can bother them at night. Body temp drops at night are good for them. If your house inst getting colder then 60F then I would not worry. Waterfalls are bad for them, they harbor a lot of bacteria which will make your cham sick. The dipper and misting should be enough for your cham to stay hydrated. I recommend getting a automatic mister they are very nice.

How long are you misting for at a time? You should be misting for at least 2 minutes at a time, I mist for four minutes. It should easily spike where it needs to be for a veiled. Unless you have horrible humidity in general.

I live in Sacramento so humidity is on the lower side. When I mist, should everything be dripping by the time I'm done?

Should I just put the humidifier in her cage? And do I just put Luke warm water with reptisafe?

Usually mist until everything is dripping. It should dry up pretty quickly. As long as you have good airflow, it will also stimulate drinking more. Then you shouldn't have to need to mist as much, I mist 4 times a day.

I keep my humidifier outside the cage and use regular tap water. My cham does not drink the mist from the humidifier, it is just to keep the humidity up in the room where his cage is.
