NEED HELP ON LIGHTING FOR A 24x 24 x 48 CAGE!!!!!!

Ok so I bought the zoo med slider the 30 " one to go on my 24 x 24 x 48 cage needless to say it sucks !! I bought it so I could use the tube lights that everyone said were better for the 18" reptisun 5.0 to fit in.. Anyway
What are people using for light the size light and wattage for there 24x 24x 48 ???? Please I am stuck with no lights now because I have to return this piece of junk!! They said it is the best lighting out there bull---- !!

Try just going to lowes or another hardware store. Take 18" the bulb with you. you should be able to find a couple of very cheap fixtures that will work perfectly cost a lot less than what you paid for the zoo med slider. also, they do sell 15" reptisun bulbs that take a smaller fixture. Good luck man! don't stress....it'll all work out.

you think the 8" will be enough or bump up o a 24 inch because I have both sizes

For that size of an enclosure I personally would use a 30" fixture. 24" would work just fine tho

I would buy the 24" dual fixture at Lowe's. It is $20. I think it is meant for T12 lamps though... check the wattage and compare. They do sell a dual 18" fixture....

with the dual fixtures, buy a 6500K lamp. This lamp will help the plants grow. 6500K is the color temp of the light the lamp produces. They also call these lamps 'daylight'
