Need help on Calumma boettgeri settings

Does anyone know some caresheet/ reference of the settings and requirement for Calumma boettgeri? I have searched this forum and the web in hopes for finding some information. And I know both Franklin and Bosco have bred the specie. But somehow I couldn't find any information on the web.

Anyone with a helping hand? Much appreciated.

I know the basic requirement for the specie, but there are some details I would like to know, so I can design the cage plantings and lightings.

1./ Where does the specie lives? In terms of in the rainforest, does it live around the 2m range of the shrubs or higher on the 10-15m range? (This concern my lighting systems)
2./ The nighttime temp drop? Is 15F enough?
3./ If a pair is housed together, will this be a problem? (Considering if I'm just a little worry if it breeds too much)
4./ What is the life expectancy in captive? (3-5 years? or more?)

Thank you.

Probably because most of us have never even seen one let alone kept one. Have you seen the ADCHAM.com website? There is a species database that might have some habitat parameter info you can use. Also, the recent cham books by Petr Necas might include this species and any housing information from across the pond.

yeah, I did go through adcham.com, they only give the information of the housing and temperature.

I actually find a little information on a german website, but the problem is I don't speak german, lol.

1-they are from forest(just for example in nosy be you can found them in lokobe forest),and they prefer slow-medium light, one tube on a cage(whit dense vegetations)is ok.
2-there are several locality,nosy be variant(mine) prefer middle temperature: 16-22° during night(winter/summer) and 20-27° during day(winter/summer ).
3-no,you can't keep them together, they are very aggresive.
4-i think around 3-4 years.

Wow. Those C. boettgeri are just absolutely beautiful! It just amazes me the variety, legal or not, you can acquire in Europe!

Again, stunning animals.

Dear Franklin,

Thank you for the photos and the information. They are very useful and your photos really help me in designing the cages I needed.

Once again, Thank you.

legal or not,
they are 100% legal and cb.

P.S.on the bottom of cage there are few centimeter(2-3)of soil, whit barck, dead leaves, moss, because female often lay eggs unders barck or leaves.soil there isn't too moist because female don't lay in this condition.

Franklin,

Thanks and noted. I'll just keep the same drainage systems as I use for my parsons. I'll just hope they arrive safe and I can keep them alive and healthy for the next couple of months before I think of breeding them.

Thanks

an other notes...

I don't know legilations of your cauntry, but,if your animal aren't cb they need more space of my boettgeri.
