Need help finding a breeder near Frederick, MD

I bought a veiled chameleon about 12 years ago from a breeder near Frederick, MD. He also specialized in Bearded Dragons.

Does anyone know of a breeder in this area? I'm having the hardest time trying to find him (or any other breeder) near me.

Thanks!

Take a look at our list of sponsors. Shipping healthy and high quality animals has become easier then ever. Buy from a reputable breeder (Sponsors/select forum members). Any good breeder will offer a health guarantee, and customer support for the life of the chameleon.:)

Is there a specific species your interested in?

Yes. A veiled chameleon. He sold them for $30 over 10 years ago, but he always seemed more interested in the hobby than making money.

Good guy!

There not to far off from that price nowadays.

Have you ever thought of taking a rescue cham? There are a few members that are having issues with housing..etc They are looking for good homes for thier animals. You may be able to get a healthy juv/full sized veild, and save some money, unless your hearts set on a baby.:)

I was definitely looking for a baby...especially since I just bought a good cage for a baby.

I'll look around more, just thought it would be less stressful to buy local (for the cham).

The only downfall to having a chameleon shipped, is having to pay for shipping.
It doesn't stress them much at all.
Generally the animal would go out late in the afternoon and arrive at your home the next morning.
They just go to sleep in the box and wake up in a new place.
Average shipping in the lower 48 states is $50.
So a $35 chameleon ends up costing $85.
Worth every penny for a good animal.
