Need Help About Terrarium Light

Hi friends.
i have a 45x45x60 cm exo terra glass terrarium and i am using "exoterra Day Glo 25 W Neodymium Daylight Lamp" and "exoterra Repti Glo 2.0 UVB 13 W" at the same time.

About my cham, she is 7 months age and Chameleon Africanus.

So the problem is, i think i have to upgrade UVB lamp. But i'm not sure if buy 5.0 UVB or 10.0 UVB, the thing is, i can only find "exoterra 5.0 UVB 13 W" at markets around where i live.

So, 5.0 UVB is enough for a cham? and what is the differences between "5.0 UVB-13 W" and "5.0 UVB-26 W" ?

Plus, there are "night glo" lamps at the markets, do they necessary for chams?

I have been using 5.0 for my veil for over a year since I got him.

I believe the difference between the 13W and 26W is the brightness (slightly) and mainly the heat I suppose. I use a 26W and the temperature is just nice without an additional basking lamp.

Night lamp will depend on your enclosure's temperature, if it doesn't drop too low, it should be fine.

Unfortunately, with the Exoterra bulbs (Reptiglo) I would only recommend that you go with the 10.0 if you could find one. Reptiglo is typically a weaker bulb than the Reptisun bulbs, so a Reptiglo 10.0 more closely resemples the Reptisun 5.0 (which is still pretty mild).

The 5.0 is better than nothing, certainly, but if you have the option of ordering a bulb (either requesting the store orders it in for you or you buy it online for yourself) I would find:
- Exo Terra Reptiglo 10.0 or...
- Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0 or 10.0 (I prefer the 10.0, personally)

Weather permitting, you can always take her outside if the day is mild to get some natural sunshine. She would love that, I'm sure. Nothing beats the benefits of natural sushine occassionally.

Exoherppy - I hope you haven't had that bulb the entire time! UVB bulbs lose UVB over time and by a year many of these lights are outputting extremely little, especially the 5.0s. Replacing them every 6-9 months is vital.

Yes, I do change my ReptiGlo every 6 months. Thanks for the reminder. Thinking of switching to 10.0 to try out but am worried about making major changes when things seem fine now.

Hi again, so what do you say about "Sylvania Reptistar UV Compact %6 UV-B" ?? is it good for a cham?

Here is the pic:

I am not familair with that brand... Does anyone else know anything about it? I suppose it's better than nothing but I've never seen UVB readings from this bulb so I don't know if it's better/worse/the same as the Reptiglo 5.0.
