need advice

hi guys im new to this site, just came accross it whiles tring to find info on an issue i have....heres my story...... i have two veild chameleons both rescues the eldest is BOGGLE i had him when he was young he has stunted growth due to neglect by a shop owner he has a cleft lip and can just about hold hes weight but now is a happy little fellow likes his cuddles lol:) and seems to be comin on a treat love him to bits.....my next (who my problem is with) is RANGO (yes as in the film) he is about 6months old i had him from a pet shop who had him off someone who clearly did not know what they were doing he had no uv or any form of vits and mins...so he has signs of mbd and also has the cleft lip same kind of conditions as BOGGLE really when i had him i knew he was not eating but i still fell in love with the littlen as he has an amazing personality...i have had to syringe feed just to boost him up but now i have noticed that he is tring to eat but his tongue is not stickin to the food he is able to extend and retract the tongue but nothing stays attached to it so i have to put it in his mouth other wise he wont eat (looks like he gets a bit disheartened) i dont know if anyone has come accross anythin like this before and could shed some light on this wether it is a permanent thing or if there is anything i could do for him.....he is not unhappy and like i say is eating so im not worried but if there is something i could do it would be better...

Chameleon Info:

Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
Location - Where are you geographically located?

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

Tongue issues could be from an injury, hydration, improper nutrient balance, infection, eye sight and so on. Filling out the form above will help the members here to be able to help you and your chameleon.
 
Its strange that they both have a cleft lip...can you post some photos of it please? Are they related?

Is he drinking well?

Its important to correct the MBD and also get his husbandry back on track. Hopefully that will help the tongue issue.
