I've done all the research into breeding chameleons and just want to know if whar has just happened is correct.
Last week I introduced my chameleons to each other and the female immediatly went dark, so I seperated.
Today i've tried again and they mated, the female let him copulate with her and they seperated, she went to the top of the cage and he remainedn at the bottom and started to head knod and seemed to slowly look like he was heading towards her. He did not get near her, but she went completely dark, so i've seperated them and she's gone back to normal.
Was this right of me to do, and should I put them back together again tomorrow, a lot of websties said to leave them together for 72 hours, but seeing as she started going black, I didn't want her to start biting him and getting stressed.
