Have had great sucess with a very simple nursery for newborn chameleons. However, there are drawbacks and time spent cleaning is overwhelming. Other breeders have told me that they use small butterfly enclosures and I would like to try this.
Can everyone fill me in on the drawbacks to this type of nursery? I've been told that they usually need to be replaced after a year of exposure to UVB. I do wonder what is commonly done to keep it clean - can they be rinsed and if so how often is this accomplished, do you line the floor with something ? Is it more difficult to maintain an appropriate temperature for babies ?
