Need advice ASAP

Does the eye move I noticEd in the one pic the one good eye is looking directly at the camera and the other is not this can be normal since both eyes can move independently but comparing the 2 pics from 2 different angles it appears the bad eye was static Wichita is odd for a chameleon they generally track all movement unless he is blind in that eye. Do you use turtle drops? I like to use them once a month on D3 feeding day I feel one drop in each eye prevents a lot of eye issues.

Even if the eye isn't moving he may not be blind my cham had crust over her eye and it looked like that too although her turret was swollen after a warm shower and squirting with a squirt bottle filled with saline some grey goop came out and the eye was fine then I used the turtle drops

Anyway not sure if you have the same situation as I would need more info and some close up pics of the eye but that's what happened to me

That eye definitely needs some TLC, he may have something in the eye that has infected it. Personally, I'd go to the vet on that one, but if you want to try something at home first, I would use plain saline solution (you get it in the contact lens aisle at the drug store). You'll have to pick him up and squirt the eye until the turret balloons up. That may wash out the offending item. He will hate you for this, but thankfully chams have a short memory. Better to do that than have him lose an eye... Good luck with your little guy!

You don't necessarily have to handle him too much, but if you put a potted plant or something else he can cling to in your shower you can let him perch on that while getting a long warm "rain". Aim the shower head at the wall so the plant/perch gets the water spray bouncing off the wall instead of directly. Temp...luke warm. Remember, what feels warm to YOU will feel hot to a herp. Gentle water pressure for a longer time is better than a shorter blast. To help him clean out his eye you can squirt sterile saline contact lens solution at the eye even if its closed some will get in. Saline will sting less than plain water. Don't use a rinse that contains other chemicals or preservatives. If you keep seeing a discharge or his eye is glued shut in the mornings there is some sort of infection developing, so you'll need to treat that.

Is the eye moving? Tracking movement? You may want to do that shower and saline ASAP so there is no permanent damage. Chameleons eyes are very important to them.

Yes his eye is moving on its own and he is definately tracking my movements. I will have to get some saline as i dont have a plant atm o could use. I am using calcium with d3 in a couple feedings per month, sorry i didnt answer from before

maybe a piece of his skin got in his eye? i dont really know

Looks like his eye has a minor infection you should get it looked at by the vet. Look around the cage for some mistakes or like not enough water or to much poop.

what could the poop cause ? Because when i got him the cage was filthy

They are just some artificial plants and a bend it log. Im currently building a custom cage that ill have live vegitation in but ita all i could get my hands on atm

Ok that's fine but get a real plant or 2 because they need live plant or they can go threw depression... And again take him to vet ASAP no one wants a cute Cham hurt, and give me some details of what the vet says... Good Luck
