Hi gang looking for links on nasolacrimal duct blockage in panther chameleons ....cause and remedys..my chameleon is being treated for sinas infection with baytril every other day but the puffiness in eyes is not goin down. So trying to read up on the blockage because it may be something I need to dicuss the doc on our next visit. Thanks for the help in advance .....Cat

That is an excellent thread to read. We should keep it easy to find for those who are seeing eye turret problems. The whole topic of eye infections and turret swelling problems takes on a whole new meaning. I have never dealt with severe eye complications from this luckily, but I did have a verrucosus who presented with a rostral abscess the vet cleared out successfully. It left a crater all the way through to the "palate". At the time we didn't realize it may have started as a nasolacrimal duct infection. He was lucky...no eye complications and once the abscess was cleared out it healed without problems. It was a shock to see how extensive it was though and I'm sure the cham didn't appreciate the work either.
