Just wanted to remind all of you about the NARBC Chicago show going on this weekend in Tinley Park, Illinois (surburbs). I won't have my own booth there, as I got suckered into (again) working the FL Chams booth  however some of my chams will be on display (and for purchase) at the Magnaforce Industries booths.

I hope to see you there! :D

Pics or death!

I still can't believe we all forgot a camera at the AZ show. lol I remember thinking...naw I'm not going to bring it, someone will surely have a camera.

i cant wait to go, but i might have to wait until sunday :( i'll be the guy with long hair and glasses. no i don't think that's an extremely vague description for a reptile con attendee:rolleyes:... I just got a veiled from FL chams, a female from the sire Newton. very pretty even at 5 months... but omg she is a mean MEAN little viper >.<

Don't worry, there is still plenty of stuff left at the show for you to look at. Mike brought quite a bit so there are lots of nice chams to look at (and purchase.... hint, hint.....)

So how was it Julie?

Well, I don't think I would be qualified to answer that just yet. I really didn't get a chance to venture away from Mike's booth to go look around. I did, however, manage to spend money in the 5 minutes that I was away from the booth. (i.e. another female crested gecko, as if I need it .... and saw some gargy's that I just might have to pick up this morning....:p). Other than that, not sure - I can give you a better report tonight. I plan on going in a little earlier this morning to look around and see what I just need to bring home. I hear there was a little commotion about 2 blue veileds or something of the sort that are a couple grand. I will be taking some pictures of them and posting them for everyone later. ><Full report after today's show....>< :D

i saw those blue veileds, but wasn't impressed. I should have asked about them, but the male looked like an ordinary turquise sunburst with a tiny casque and the female was in a cage with the male and gravid colored. the only proof that she turned an actual extreme blue solid color was two bad looking photos. They didn't look worth $2k. I was happy when i saw the breeder who i got my first cham from. they were along the wall with a large male on display with the tallest casque i ever saw!

Okay, you guys aren't going to be happy with me. :( I had my camera there both days and didn't take any pictures. I have a good excuse, though. Mike had no voice at all all day on Sunday so yours truly had to do all the talking so the only time I was away from the booth was to (of course) quickly spend some money and to use the ladies' room and that was it.

I did, however, come home with some goodies. 0.1 crested gecko (as if I needed another), 1.1.2 gargys, 2.0 translucent male veileds (from Mike) and 0.1 juvie verrucosis (from Mike) (and of course, more vivs and other crap that I "had" to have...).

Overall, the show was no different than last year.

my buddy bought an axolotl, so i'm jealous. all i came home with was feeders:(. my high point is always seeing the baby snapping turtles and remembering when mine was that tiny. he's gonna go into "hibernation" soon, so i dont gotta spend much money on food all winter, yay! sigh, if only chams could be so simple.
sorry i didnt say hi when i stopped at FLchams, im shy in real life:eek: i really like the selection of transparents there!
i didnt take pictures either ): sorry folks
