Hey can't really post anything long, my werner is laying her babies right now. This is my first time having babies of this species and would like any tips or knowledge, that someone who has possibly already done this can tell me. Also when should I be removing the babies and what should they be placed in a Reptibreeze or Terrarium? Also whats the best thing that I should use for the floor for tha babies. Also if someone could help me out with any knowledge pretty quick, would really help a lot. Thanks for ur time

Not sure where you're at globe-wise, but it's a bit late in the US for most of us. Sorry, I'm not totally sure what to do about most of that stuff :/ I haven't bred before.

I'm pretty sure you want to remove the babies immediately from the space that the mother is in and you can put them in either a reptibreeze or terrarium. I would suggest reptibreeze for ventilation. Paper towels is a good bottom... just like for an adult, it's easy to clean and they can't eat it! :D

I hope my questionable knowledge is of some sort of help and hopefully someone will be able to jump into it a bit more knowledgeable for ya. Good luck and happy baby keeping!! :D

Yea it is late but I couldn't really tell her to hold him lol. I'm from Cali but I really just went at it and I'd say I did pretty good. Egg laying species are a lot easier when they drop, this was extremely stressful. Hoping that all the babies are ok, actually gotta get your hands dirty. I helped 3 out of their casings. Once I had realized that she was dropping, and started trying to help she didn't lose any. But thanks for posting even tho it was late. The people in these lobbies are truly gentleman and ladies, very knowledgeable and helpful. If anyone's going to be interested in any Werner's send me a message and we can discuss anything. I will add a post when they are almost ready.

Let her finish before removing the babies. You are just going to stress her out by having your hands in the cage.

As for the babies provide good air flow in what ever you decide to raise them in. Lots of misting to keep them hydrated. Small foods to start like melanogaster fruit flies, aphids and couple of day old crickets. Feed small amounts multiple times a day. You might not see them eating for a day to two.

When they get to be 2-3 month's old I'd be interested in exchanging bloodlines.

No idea how to raise the juveniles but offering them already in the second post. I'm sure this will work. Another of these "I "work" on this and that "breeding projects"...

I appreciatee all the information that u guys have given me. Thanks zephyr and carl, also carl I need another male so we can definitely working something out. I live in Cali tho so if thats still ok with u.

Hey Carl

Beside the trade we briefly talked about, I noticed that you had a pair of Rudis. I was going to be buying a few more chameleons here pretty soon. I want a pair of Rudis but I already got someone that has a pair for me for a good price, but just wanted to try to keep it in the community.

True rudis are not exported. The species that is exported to the US is Trioceros sternfeldi.

I only have a couple of captive born sternfeldi to offer. The majority are being held back for exchanging bloodlines and future breeding.

Carl

I'm not too knowledgable about the Rudis species. But I know they have the green & yellow kind, and also a red kind. So which ones are the trioceros sternfeldi?

They both are sternfeldi. The males will be the green and yellow. The rusty red, brown or all green are females. All you will find imported into this country currently is sternfeldi.

Carl

Alright well i'm more than willing to exchance 1 for 1 with the werners and also if i we could figure someone out where I can get a pair of Rudis from you. I'll purchase them thanks.
