My Veiled Enclosure

Just checking to make sure I have everything right. Right now my cham Melvin is in a 35g hex tank, I'm saving up some money for a mesh terrarium. I don't have any tank pictures but I will take some tonight.
Anyway, his basking temp is 93f-97f. The very bottom of his tank is about 73f-75f. The ambient temp in the middle of the tank is 83f-almost 90. The heat light is on a dimmer. Not sure on night temps but the lights get turned off.
I have a CF UV bulb it is this one here:

I'm aware the linear bulbs are better. Is this one ^ no good?
There is about in inch of EcoEarth substrate, lots of vines and plastic plants for coverage. I mist in the monring heavily and humidity goes up to about 80 but then quickly drops to 60 70 ish. It is usually down to about 40 50 by the time I am home. I mist again (less) when I get home. I also use a dripper daily.
I feed dusted crickets gutloaded with green beans, red and green pepper, carrot, potato and whatever else is lying around. I used to feed from a cup but I find he likes chasing them down
I don't handle him particularily frequently..he doesn't like me, hahaha. About every other day or so for short times.
That's about all I can think of rght now!

1.) Get rid of the compact bulb and get a linear bulb!
2.) NO Subtrate! (it will cause compaction) Just use regular paper towels on the bottom
3.) Get a screen cage for the cham it needs ventilation
4.) You need to mist 3-4 times a day for 3-5 minutes

Okay, can do. I was planning on getting an enclosure with better ventilation soon, and the store I work at is closing so I can get the linear bulbs half off. What is the best one? Do you just get any old fixture from Canadian Tire or Home Depot or something?
And how do you deal with drainage with paper towels? I had them before but they always got soaking wet..and such a pain to remove from under all those vines and fake plants and stuff.That's actually why I changed to EcoEarth. What do you do about this?

That is why the terrarium made for cham's usually have the plastic trays that you can just pull from with-in the terrarium without having to remove anything...I can see it being a big pain to remove everything in order to remove the paper towels. But like someone said above the eco earth can and will eventually cause impaction. Hope this helps.

You can find fixtures and bulbs online here is the best bulb for your cham.

For the towels its not that bad if you have a screen cage the bottom has a plastic board and all you have to do is get some dry paper towels in your hand and remove the wet ones with it.

UVB bulb every 6 months. House bulbs whenever they go out
