Your chameleon needs to see a vet. More than likely it has a sinus infection along with other issues now. It will not go away on its own. A vet will need to see what is causing this problem and prescribe a suitable drug.

Good luck.

Wow! As others have already said, your chameleon needs a vet, the sooner the better! I would never attempt to treat anything looking that bad on my own at home. I hope you can get your little friend the help that it needs, because at the very least it will need antibiotics to help fight the infection.

That seems to be a sinus infection.. that needs a vet to culture, possibly drain, and give antibiotics.

Oh man, that does not look good. Please get that guy into a vet NOW!
Don't even hesitate!

If you think you cannot afford it, talk to the vet and see if something can be worked out, or if they accept payments or something. I would get treatment for that like yesterday.

well theirs only one vet in my area that would have some knowledge but most of all he isn't sure on veiled chameleon since i am the first one in my area to have one even at the pet store where i get his food are surprised that Ive been able to keep so long cuzz they are prone to this type of dizeses ..... but ive had him for about a year and this has been up in the last week... ive already placed and cleaned it ith antibotics on it as you can see on the picture. and also he is starting to shead i dnt know if it will make it worse that at the moment i dnt have any extra cash, so thats why i had to treat myself....

That infection isn't going to go away without treatment. I would either:

A) Take him to the vet that doesn't have much experience with Chameleons. They could get him on the medicine he needs.

or

B) Find an experienced vet (even two or three hours away) and get him there now.

There aren't really any other options.

Agreed. Even a vet that has handled birds before might work, if there was no other option.

One year is not a long time - they live much longer than that - they are not really all that prone to diseases.

That chameleon looks quite small to be over a year old too! If it is in fact over a year old it is most likely actually a female. My first chameleon had the same EXACT issue as yours and i'm sorry to say, she died. You need to get to ANY vet ASAP, have them do a culture on the infection, and have that vet consult a REPTILE vet about what medication to give and the dosing. Where are you? Maybe someone might know of a reptile vet in your area.
